Abstract

The goal of this study is to determine whether PEGylated cationic liposomes (nanodelivery system) are more avidly taken up by brain cancer cells (U-87 MG) compared to non-PEGylated cationic lipsomes (nanodelivery system). Once determined we will use the GFP plasmid (pEGFPC-1) to determine if our physical characterization results correlate with transfection efficiency measurements. The long range objective is to replace the reporter plasmid with a more clinically relevant variety.
